CAPITAL CAMPAIGN

ROAD TO THE FUTURE | Building On More Opportunities and Encouraging Community

For more than 40 years of excellence, Metro Christian Academy has trained tomorrow’s Christian Leaders. Students are nourished and challenged academically, spiritually, physically, and socially. Our graduates are prepared for transformational engagement in college and beyond.

With the surge in the growth of students and families at Metro Christian Academy, the physical spaces and functionality of the existing buildings and campus have come under severe stress. Thus, Metro is committed to a missional, bold, and progressive multi-year, multi-phased capital campaign ensuring that we continue serving our students, their families, and the surrounding communities and securing our lasting legacy as a regionally recognized, Christian college-preparatory learning institution founded on biblical principles.

Gather Round | Fellowship opportunities are woven throughout the Metro Christian experience

Focused on bringing mission-fit families together, Metro Christian Academy is a thriving community of students, families, and faculty with shared values and faith that knows God and loves his truth. The school aims to partner alongside every family – encouraging and supporting them through God’s word. This partnership between the home and the school provides the foundation for educating the whole child and fully developing each student according to God’s plan.

Opportunities | The fruits of combining college-trajectory curriculum with lasting biblical truths are undeniable.

By placing God at the heart of each and every endeavor, there are countless opportunities for character to deepen and every gift to shine at Metro Christian Academy. Whether it is the pursuit of excellence in our daily tasks or the most daunting challenges, Metro’s ambition is to use every opportunity to bring glory to God. As an inter-denominational, college-preparatory learning institution, Metro challenges each child to live purposefully and wisely under the guidance and in the service of our one faithful Lord.

Encouraging | With Christ As Our Compass, Our Path Is Sure

Created in God’s image, children possess amazing, inquisitive, and creative minds. Metro Christian Academy encourages critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration at every ability and age. The school challenges and teaches our students to strive for excellence on their academic journey by implementing rigorous academic standards. Integrated purposefully, faith is intertwined with education at Metro to equip future Christian leaders with a biblical worldview. Students learn to live a Christian life empowered by and characterized by empathy, compassion, and discipline.

” Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”

– Nancy Stubblefield, Patriot Resource Center Director, 1984-2023

The Patriot Resource Center (PRC) is a unique and historically significant part of our heritage as a Christian school community. Begun as a dream of Dr. Wanda Hartman in 1984, for over 35 years, the PRC has provided individual education plans to accommodate the specific learning needs of students in Kindergarten through 12th grades. We are committed to providing individualized interventions and academic plans for students with learning differences to fulfill our mission to serve the entire family. We believe identified students need instructional strategies, curriculum, and differentiated expectations to meet their unique abilities and potential. Small group placement and individualized learning goals are offered to accommodate these students’ needs to extend each child’s individual education plan.

Cafe 2.0: Phase 2 Cafeteria Renovations | $1M | IN PROGRESS

Originally designed in the 1980s as a Tulsa Public High School, Metro Christian Academy finds it increasingly difficult to maintain an innovative and contemporary environment to inspire, educate, and support our students and their families. These spaces need modernization, expansion, and re-imagining to fulfill the promise made to ourselves, our families, and future Patriots of the pursuit of excellence through Christ in every endeavor.

Metro’s Cafeteria is one of the busiest spaces on campus hosting daily lunches, the before-school programs, PACK & PASS (Metro’s After-School Programs), PTF Meetings, Board Meetings, and more. The Cafe 2.0 Project continues the Cafeteria Renovations started by the 2016 All In Annual Appeal Campaign. This phase includes improving the flow and efficiency of students through the serving lines, installing ceiling materials, flooring, and energy-efficient lighting fixtures alongside a new coffee cafe! Supporting the Patriot Fund | $1M

Supporting students’ and their parents’ financial needs is a top priority for Metro Christian Academy. For our students and their families, the Foundation Endowments support affordability by enhancing academic programming and offsetting the annual operating cost – without raising tuition or sacrificing the quality of the Metro Christian Academy experience. The school wants to ensure that any student who desires a life-changing Metro Christian education can experience it regardless of their financial situation. We believe that coming alongside our families is an essential investment in the lives of our students and the gospel ministry they live out after graduation.

For Metro students and their parents, the Foundation Endowments support affordability by enhancing academic programming and offsetting the annual operating cost – without raising tuition or sacrificing the quality of the Metro Christian Academy experience. Since 2005, the Foundation’s Endowment Fund has provided over $1.4M in support to Metro. The Endowment Fund makes an annual contribution to the school for Tuition Assistance, Staff Professional Development, General Operating Expenses, and Building and Ground Maintenance projects.

Attempting to describe the impact tuition assistance has had on our family is nearly impossible. If one can place a value on getting to do life, school, and ministry together on a daily basis, in addition to the added blessing of a superior, Christian education and the opportunity for extracurricular activities, this is what attending Metro has meant for us. We have poured our lives into Metro, and Metro has poured life into us. There is no assignable value for such things, and we are thankful beyond words for tuition assistance making it all possible.

Training Patriots for Life | $2.9M

Athletics brings excitement and energy to the Metro community while providing many discipleship opportunities for students, families, coaches, and fans. Thus, Metro Athletics strives to be one of Oklahoma’s top Athletic Departments through a whole-student champion experience in three areas: Academics, Athletics, and personal growth in Christ. Currently, Metro offers 14 Varsity Sports, including Athletic Training, Baseball, Basketball, Cheerleading, Cross Country, Football, Golf, POM, Soccer, Swimming, Tennis, Track & Field, Volleyball, and Wrestling. A crucial next step in accomplishing our athletic goals is providing first-class facilities for our student-athletes and fans.

Continuing the improvements made in the initial phase of the Grounded in Excellence, Growing to Serve Campaign, the ongoing stadium improvements and expansion of facilities include a new Concession and Ticket Facility, renovation of Home Bleachers with the addition of priority chair-back seating, renovation of Visitor Bleachers and a commitment to meet all ADA Requirements throughout Patriot Stadium.
