Hebrews 12:2 seems pretty clear:

As followers of Jesus, we are to fix our eyes on Him—the Pioneer and Perfecter of the path.

But, Hebrews 11:1-12:1 also seems pretty clear:

That there are other men and women who have gone before us that are also worth looking at and emulating.

On the March calendar, for example, two such figures come to mind: Harriet Tubman (Sunday, March 10) and St. Patrick (Sunday, March 17).

Although, each was ostensively finite, fallible, fallen, and fractured—nonetheless, they were noteworthy and impactful persons of interest who have gone before us.

In our commitment to the pursuit of excellence thru Christ—and in our ongoing focus on the Pioneer and Perfecter of our path, may we be informed about and inspired by good people and great persons.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us—fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him, He endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

On this path together,
