MIDDLE SCHOOL
A Time of Growth
In a child’s life, Middle School is one of the most critical and influential milestones. Middle School students depend on acceptance from their peers, flourish on attention from others, and strive to learn more about the world around them. These three years are developmentally formative and a season where character, values, and habits are defined. During their time as 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, Metro students grow and develop at a rapid pace — succeeding at complex academic assignments, learning to work collaboratively, stretching their skills as athletes and artists, and delving deeper in their walks with Christ.
At Metro Christian Academy, the Middle School builds upon strong foundational skills established in previous learning experiences in P3 through 5th grades. Focused on educating and developing the whole student, Metro’s Middle School provides each student with a unique environment in which to grow, accept challenges, and thrive. The faculty, staff, and administration partner together with the child and their family, cultivating and encouraging each student’s academic success, critical thinking skills, motivation, self-confidence, and understanding of the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Class sizes are intentionally kept small, allowing teachers to diligently focus on the individualized needs of each student — preparing them for success in High School, college, and beyond.
Employing a variety of rigorous curricular and co-curricular opportunities, Metro Christian Academy proudly and confidently partners alongside our families in the growth and development of their children. We hope to come alongside your family in the pursuit of excellence as well.
We Proclaim Him
Metro Christian Academy is a Christ-centered, non-denominational private school, where proudly, we proclaim Him, in our pursuit of helping students define their identity in Christ and discover their God-given gifts and talents. Each faculty and staff member strives to create a nurturing environment, possessing a culture of sincere and genuine affirmation as they prepare students who have been challenged academically, motivated to compete athletically and artistically, and encouraged spiritually.

Course Catalog
Our school services a diversity of students — each with their own individual academic, athletic, artistic, and social needs. To meet the individualized needs of each of our students, Metro offers a variety of course selections tailored to create the best possible scholastic experience.
Annually, Metro Christian Academy releases their course catalog for the academic year. The catalog is created to help students and their families, in partnership with the academic and guidance counselor, select the annual courses. There are a variety of factors determining the best academic path for your student, including a student’s strengths and weaknesses, goals for High School, and time spent on extra-curricular activities. Students and their families are encouraged to review the Course Selection Forms by Grade. Please contact the academic counselor, Chere Fergerson, with any questions regarding academic requirements, course selection, or help with college placement and planning.
