Faculty Positions

Seeking highly qualified professionals devoted to the pursuit of excellence through Christ, Metro Christian Academy is dedicated to providing an exceptional educational experience for our students. Instructional staff members are expected to hold certificates with the Oklahoma State Department of Education in their respective teaching assignments. Early Childhood Teacher

Metro Christian Academy seeks a full-time Early Childhood Teacher for the 2023-24 school year. This position is responsible for teaching early learners (P3-K) using the school-sanctioned learning standards and accompanying curriculum resources. 

The early childhood teacher must demonstrate proficiency in age-appropriate and content-specific pedagogy, standards-based instructional strategies, and interactive learning approaches. The ideal candidate is engaging and collaborative, develops connected relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, and is an authentic Christian with a passion for serving God and others. 

Must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and hold an Oklahoma State Teaching Certificate in Early Childhood Education.

Elementary Teacher

Metro Christian Academy seeks a full-time Elementary Teacher for the 2023-24 school year. This position is responsible for teaching elementary students using the school-sanctioned learning standards and accompanying curriculum resources.

Elementary Spanish Immersion Teacher

Metro Christian Academy seeks a full-time Elementary Spanish Immersion teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. The Elementary Spanish Immersion teacher must demonstrate proficiency in age-appropriate and content-specific pedagogy, standards-based instructional strategies, and interactive learning approaches. The ideal candidate is engaging and collaborative, develops connected relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, and is an authentic Christian with a passion for serving God and others. 

This position will collaborate with English track teachers to ensure dual proficiency in grade level core content and literacy. The teacher must create and maintain a language immersion atmosphere (visually and verbally) and provide effective and consistent communication with all students’ parents/families. The ideal applicant believes that all students are capable of dual language achievement and is open to teaching in an innovative learning environment.

Metro Christian Academy is partnering with Add.a.lingua to provide a proven, research-based, dual-language experience.  Add.a.lingua is an organization distinguished by their excellence in dual-language immersion education in Christian schools across the country.  Spanish Immersion teachers will participate in Add.a.lingua’s professional development and teacher training modules. 

Must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and hold an Oklahoma State Teaching Certificate in Elementary or Early Childhood Education.

Elementary Spanish Immersion Teaching Assistant

Metro Christian Academy seeks a full-time Elementary Spanish Immersion teaching assistant for the 2023-2024 school year. The Elementary Spanish Immersion assistant must be fully bilingual and have experience working with children in a school setting.  The ideal candidate is engaging and collaborative, develops connected relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, and is an authentic Christian with a passion for serving God and others. 

The Spanish Immersion teaching assistant will help create and maintain an authentic language immersion experience (visually and verbally) by partnering closely with the lead teacher to provide wholesome, engaging, and age-appropriate learning activities in the target language.

High School Chemistry and Physics Teacher

Metro Christian Academy, a private Christian school in Tulsa, Oklahoma, seeks a High School Chemistry and Physics teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. This is a full-time position that would teach a combination of Honors Chemistry, AP Chemistry, and AP Physics. 

To be considered, applicants must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree with a Master’s Degree preferred from an accredited college or university and hold an Oklahoma State Teaching Certificate.

Secondary Life Science Teacher

Metro Christian Academy, a private Christian school in Tulsa, Oklahoma, seeks a Secondary Life Science teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. This is a full-time position that would teach a combination of Forensics and Biology classes. 

To be considered, applicant must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree with a Master’s Degree preferred from an accredited college or university and hold an Oklahoma State Teaching Certificate.

Metro Christian Academy seeks multiple full-time Secondary Teachers with Mild/Moderate certification for the 2023-2024 school year. To be considered, applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and hold an Oklahoma State Teaching Certificate with Mild/Moderate certification. Subject areas include English/Language Arts or Math through Algebra 2 or Science.

Substitute Teacher

Have you been looking for a way to share your love for Christ, kids, and Christian education at Metro? Consider becoming a Substitute Teacher! Substitutes play a major role in carrying out the activities planned by our teachers, providing continuity in the classroom, and ensuring the educational process is not interrupted when the regular teacher is absent. Principals and teachers greatly recognize the value our subs bring and would love to welcome you and encourage you to consider becoming a Substitute Teacher with Metro.

Maintenance Positions

The Maintenance Department and its team members are responsible for maintaining the various Metro Christian Academy facilities and grounds at a high standard for our students and their families, faculty and staff members, patrons and donors, and visitors to our campus.

There are currently no open positions on the Maintenance Team.

Administrative Positions

At Metro, the Administrators alongside the IT, Security, and Health Team Members work with the faculty to help foster a culture of community and create an experience that our students, families, and guests love! After-School Program Aide

The After School Program Aide provides oversite to students participating in Metro’s After School PACK/PASS Programs. Candidates must work well with children and youth ages 3 years to 8th grade, have excellent conflict resolution and communication skills. and be patient and energetic. Aides should be able to give and receive instruction, as well as work independently. Click here to learn more about this position.

The After School program is open Monday-Friday, 2:30pm – 5:30pm. High school seniors are welcome to apply. Specific days and hours can be discussed during the interview. We are willing to work around school schedules.

After-School Program Lead

Under the supervision of the Patriot Program Coordinator, the Program Leader is responsible for supervising children and youth attending the PACK/PASS After-School programs. The Program Leader provides oversight to the Program Aides in the absence of the Coordinator. The Program Leader acts as a positive role model, ensures a positive environment, and displays a caring, patient personality towards participants, parents and other staff.

Dean of Students

Metro Christian Academy seeks a qualified Dean of Students to oversee student life in grades 6-12.  The Dean of Students will be charged with cultivating a mission-fit student culture, assisting in students’ spiritual, relational, and behavioral development, and helping to monitor and maintain biblical principles and handbook guidelines and expectations. The Dean of Students will be a “resident expert” in the “student experience” at Metro Christian Academy, identifying areas for growth and working with other faculty and administrators to continuously improve our program to meet the needs of our student body in the best ways possible.

High School Principal

Metro Christian Academy’s High School Principal serves as a primary educational leader for grades 9-12. Responsible for the implementation of an innovative, supportive, and Christian learning environment with exemplary standards in academics, arts, athletics, activities, administration, and accreditation. Responsible for inspiring, leading, and facilitating a team of faculty, families, students, and staff all towards the fulfillment of Metro’s mission, vision, strategic plan, and motto – viz. the pursuit of excellence through Christ. Demonstrates high energy, inspirational leadership, strong student connection, a fully orbed biblical worldview, and an integrally Christian lifestyle. Ideal applicants will possess a prevailing and persevering passion for biblically shepherding students from 9th grade to 12th grade here at Metro Christian Academy.

Candidates must have at least a master’s degree from an accredited college, university, or seminary and possess a valid school principal certification and at least three to five years’ experience as a Principal or Assistant Principal, preferred, and prior experience teaching and/or administrating at an accredited Christian School, preferred.

Staff Accountant

Metro Christian Academy seeks a Staff Accountant to assist the Finance and Accounting department with a variety of routine and complex financial and accounting tasks. The ideal candidate must have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (MS Office, Word, Excel, etc.), ability to accurately prepare complex financial reports and records, great attention to detail, excellent data entry skills, great verbal and written communication skills, basic research and data collection skills, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain the confidential nature of the position.

This position is a full-time, twelve-month position, with the general hours of 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Qualified applicants must hold an Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field and have two years’ experience working in an office environment with accounting responsibilities and experience in a not-for-profit environment a plus.
