Board Leadership

Tulsa Christian Education Corporation (TCEC), a not-for-profit organization according to the Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3) does business as “Metro Christian Academy”. The TCEC Board of Trustees consists of seven to fifteen members who serve staggered terms of office. TCEC operates within a Policy Governance model and is committed to identifying and advancing the vision of Metro Christian Academy and delineating delegated organizational ends and desired institutional outcomes. Policy Governance allows the Board to maintain its focus by setting rigorous expectations for the Head of School and his team. The Board tends to charting the long-term course of the school per the policies and priorities of the school. TCEC Officers consist of the Chairman of the Board, Vice Chair, Secretary, and other officers as the Board may determine. The Head of School serves as the Chief Executive Officer and the Superintending Officer of Metro Christian Academy. He performs duties and responsibilities which implement the strategic vision of the Board. 

All regular Board meetings are open to parents, employees, and students of Metro Christian Academy.

Faculty & Staff

Metro has an energetic and vibrant team of educators, administrators, and staff devoted to helping transform students into young Christian leaders ready to shape the world community for Christ. Additionally, school leadership is committed to providing a solid and healthy Christian community for its faculty and staff consistently seeking to sharpen the iron of one another and live in unity as the body of Christ.

Parents

Metro Christian Academy partners with parents and families as they fulfill their Biblical calling to train their children in the Lord. Providing support and encouragement to parents is of the utmost importance.

These opportunities help faculty and staff to engage with our parents as we walk alongside them.

Students

Metro Christian Academy is committed to helping our students think Biblically and grow spiritually, from the classroom to the stage to the field and beyond.

Metro provides many opportunities to engage students and shepherd them in their walk with Jesus:

• Bible courses including OT/NT survey, Life of Christ, Doctrine, Missions, Finance, and Senior Seminar

• Weekly Chapels with both in-house speakers and various local ministry leaders

• Quarterly High School Worship Nights

• Breakout sessions are a weekly ministry to come together during the break to glorify God through worship, prayer, or devotionals for high school students only.

• Spiritual formation activities and resources

• Pastoral care and counseling

• Numerous specific interest groups with specific meetings and events (FCA, mental health, Jesus club, prayer group)
