Prayer.

“…a way of life…a habit…be in practice” (Billy Graham).

“…the slender nerve that moves the muscle of omnipotence” (Charles Spurgeon).

“…[laying] hold of God’s plan…the link between His will and its accomplishment on earth” (Elisabeth Elliot).

“To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing” (Martin Luther).

“Prayer is not only asking, but an attitude of mind which produces the atmosphere in which asking is perfectly natural” (Oswald Chambers).

“Prayer is the means by which God has established for God’s people to invite the spiritual into the physical; the invisible realm into the visible realm” (Dr. Tony Evans).

At Metro Christian Academy, we prioritize prayer.

In addition to praying at chapel, during meetings, before competitions, and in class, we partner in prayer in other ways, as well.

We have Dads in Prayer monthly, Moms in Prayer weekly, Staff Prayer weekly, (at least) annual parent prayer walks, etc. Additionally, we have perennial days of prayer.

For Tuesday’s ACSI Day of Prayer, here are some of the anticipated features:

  • HS prayer stations in the Learning Commons, as well as Break-time Praise and Worship.
  • MS prayer prompts in the Lower-level Commons.
  • ES classroom prayer lessons.
  • Business Office prayer lunch.
  • An employee prayer chapel.

Just to name a few.

So, whether you can join us this Tuesday at 7:45am in the Auditorium for Parents in Prayer, please join us in praying for Metro Christian Academy and beyond—on Tuesday, February 27 and beyond.

May we be God’s people doing God’s work in God’s way.

Praying together,

Keith
