METRO SWIMMERS MAKE HISTORY

For the first time in Metro Christian Swim Team history ten swimmers went to the State Swim Meet! Team members Shelburne Jackson, Seth Knight, Mike Ryan, Daniel Feller, Abbie Bannister, Jamie Odom, Jordan Boatright, Rylee Hess, Callie Robertson and Annie Dills had a great season! Many swimmers set personal bests, which were posted during the Friday qualifying meet, and both the girls and boys relays dropped impressive amounts of time from previous meets. Swimmers were competing at the 5-A level in the Oklahoma Secondary Activities Association State swim meet in Oklahoma City.

The girls 400 Freestyle Relay of Abbie Bannister, Jordan Boatright, Jamie Odom, and Rylee Hess earned an 8th place medal. In the 100 Freestyle sophomore Abbie Bannister won a 7th place medal, and freshman Rylee Hess earned 4th place medals in both the 400 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke.
